‘Deeply saddened’: Body of former Newcastle United participant Christian Atsu discovered after earthquake

Newcastle United mentioned it was “profoundly saddened” by the information of Atsu’s loss of life, describing him as a “gifted participant and particular individual”.

Atsu’s coach at Turkish membership Hatayspor although refuted these studies on the time, insisting the Ghana midfielder had not been discovered.

“I don’t have excellent news, nonetheless not discovered below the rubble,” Hatayspor boss Volkan Demirel advised AFP on the time.

Atsu spent 5 seasons at Newcastle, taking part in greater than 100 video games earlier than leaving for Saudi Arabia in 2021. He received the final of his 60 Ghana nationwide caps in September 2019.
